Anita Avedian is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist practicing in Beverly Hills, Tarzana, Sherman Oaks and Glendale. She graduated with her M.S. in Educational Psychology, and completed two certifications including Employee Assistance Program and Human Resources from California State University of Northridge. Her specialties include working with relationships, anger, anxiety, and addictions.
Anita Avedian is the Director of Anger Management 818 with over 7 locations, helping both self-referred and court-ordered individuals seek help with their aggression. Miss. Avedian is very involved with the professional community. She is the Founder of Toastmasters for Mental Health Professionals, and the Co-Founder of the California Association of Anger Management Providers, which is currently the California Chapter of the National Anger Management Association (NAMA). Anger Management Essentials is an approved NAMA model which is used for anger management certification. Moreover, Anita is an Authorized NAMA Trainer and Anger Management Supervisor for certifying anger management specialists. She is a Certified Anger Management Specialist IV and a Diplomat Member of NAMA.
In addition to Toastmasters and CAAMP, Anita serves on the Board of the San Fernando Valley Chapter of Employee Assistance Professional Association (SFV-EAPA) and the Armenian American Mental Health Association (AAMHA).
